“Everyone has worked so hard to get the youth café off the ground. It is a key priority for us to provide young people with positive activities, good facilities and a safe environment to spend time in. The committee is looking for more volunteers, so if you think you have got what it takes, Have a look at the roles below.

Health and Safety

Applicant needs to be enthusiastic, committed, organized and reliable. They will be expected to work 4 hours a week (including meetings) on top of their 2 youth cafe shifts a fortnight.
Role includes; regular spot checks, deep cleaning and ensuring that the health and safety at wokingham youth cafe is to a good standard!

Applicant needs to be enthusiastic, committed, organized and reliable . They will be expected to work 4 hours a week (including meetings) on top of their 2 youth cafe shifts a fortnight. 
Role includes;
 
attending every meeting (30 minutes before the start to set up) and typing up the meetings minutes, sending out the minutes to whom it concerns (ie. HOD's meeting- minutes sent to heads of departments etc.), counting votes and announcing the results of the vote (will happen in committee meetings)

Have fun and develop new skills working alongside many different people in the café, to attend many different training courses and residentials as well as gaining good credentials. You will work very flexible hours that can fit around your other work activities. You will be asked to attend a 1 hour meeting, once a month to discuss your needs and make sure volunteering in the café is going well. You will have 2 different people whose jobs are specifically to make sure you're happy and looked after!
