About us

Wokingham Youth Café is a café run by young people, for young people. It originated from 14 young volunteers from the Wokingham area who decided that the young people needed a place to go to enjoy themselves. The volunteers started a committee and began planning the developments of the café and not long later were applying for funding from the Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) for money to get up and running.

The cafe was opened on Saturday 14th November 09 by Tony Lee-White Chairman of Wokingham Youth Café Committee (WYCC), the project has a growing number of volunteers all of which are undergoing training to help develop themselves as a person, and as a volunteer.
